What is Fire rated steel louver door
A fire-rated steel louver door is a standard fire-rated steel door fitted with a fireproof and smoke-proof louver. It is designed for commercial and industrial environments where airflow, heat ventilation, and moisture control are required under normal conditions.
During a fire, the door must help prevent fire and smoke from spreading. The louver is the weakest and most critical part of a fire-rated steel louver door, so its material and construction must be reliable, reasonable, and properly designed to block flames and smoke when exposed to high temperature.
A high-quality fireproof and smoke-proof louver usually includes fire-resistant blades and intumescent smoke seals. When the temperature rises, the intumescent material expands to seal the gaps between the louver blades, helping maintain the fire and smoke resistance performance of the complete door assembly.

Louver door material and construction
The louver is the weakest and most critical part of a fire-rated steel louver door. Our fireproof and smoke-proof louver is made of galvanized steel and graphite intumescent seals.
The blade shape can be an inverted V blade, Z blade, or flat blade. We use high-expansion graphite intumescent seals covering the surface of the blades. The graphite intumescent seal is reliable, with an expansion rate of up to 30 times its original size, which can fully block the gaps between the louver blades during a fire.
The initial expansion temperature is approximately 150°C. The material is waterproof, moisture-resistant, and has stable properties. Its expansion rate will not decrease over time. The adhesive bonding is strong and stable, ensuring the seal will not peel off from the blade, delaminate, or lose adhesion.
